Our Story

YaYa’s began in 2004 as YaYa’s Floral & Specialties, a dream sparked by two sisters, Joette and Jacade, and their Aunt, Amelia Ann. What started as a fun floral design course in The Woodlands quickly blossomed into something much bigger. Joette and Ann realized they weren’t ready for retirement—they were ready for a new adventure. With Jacade joining the team, the trio created a space filled with florals, gifts, and good food.

It wasn’t long before they decided flowers alone weren’t enough. To make YaYa’s complete, they added a kitchen offering pastries, casseroles, and catering—bringing comfort food alongside their beautiful arrangements.

The name “YaYa’s” came after much debate, but when it was suggested, it felt just right. In Greek, YaYa means grandmother, and around the same time, the beloved YaYa Sisterhood movie was released. The name captured both family and friendship, making it the perfect fit.

In 2025, the YaYa’s sisterhood grew once more with the addition of Ann’s granddaughter, Megan. Today, alongside their talented team of designers, YaYa’s continues to serve the community of Grimes County with stunning floral arrangements, thoughtful gifts, and homemade comfort food—all crafted with love, creativity, and family spirit.
